at the hospital. and then about an hour later, a second stabbing happened on river lane. that person was taken to the hospital in grave condition. deputies say the suspect was later found dead of an apparent suicide. we now know the identity of the man killed in a deadly shooting near lafayette that we brought to you as breaking news yesterday, right here at five. contra costa county sheriff, detectives say 20 year old basil jelani of lafayette was killed during a confrontation with another driver. witnesses say two vehicles were speeding through the neighborhood. one of them cut off the other. and the drivers started arguing right there on taylor boulevard. now one driver then opened the door of the other vehicle, and that's when shots were fired. jelani was pronounced dead there at the scene. detectives have not released any information about a motive, and the shooter has not been arrested or even identified. children keeping them out of trouble. that is the idea behind governor gavin newsom plan of setting up so called mental health care courts in each of california's 58 counties by the controversial

that's me. and then i could have probably not been here. but thank god i am riley. leone still can't believe that's him in the video that me inside of the truck. spinning around. and that i that i survived that this video of riley has gained the attention of people from across the country, watching him being tossed around by strong tornado winds before the truck miraculously whips back on its wheels, and he drives off a scary experiences, especially for a 16 year old boy. everybody thinks i'm an adult, but in reality, i'm a minor. 16 year old. they're still goes to school. he says. that day he was on his way back from a job interview at a water burger in elgin only 10 minutes away from his home when he encountered the dangerous weather right when i was going to take the u turn, that's when the tornado company and then lift up my truck lifted up and tossed around on its side. my truck? yes, god. thrown like paper around. he made it out with only a few scratches on

his arm. the experience scared him so bad. he didn't tell any of his family exactly what happened to avoid worrying them. but they knew instantly once they saw the truck on the viral video. i can't imagine him being in there and coming out with only scratches on him. el ville leon martinez still can't believe her son made it out alive. she says she warned her son not to go out to the job interview because of the dangerous weather. regardless of it all. she's just thankful that he's here with her. now give thanks to god that he protected him all this time, riley admits he learned a lot from this experience. if there's going to stay home, no matter no matter what, how important thing is to you. stay home their life your life matters more. and although he's still shaken up from it, he plans to move past it grateful i'm here and great for god to give me another chance, because better things were going to come in the future. never do never let small things bring it down.

afternoon, mainly late in the day and into monday warm storm. most of the rain right now, let's say it's going to fall out from santa cruz south, which is a drag for us, but it's something that will help. so there's the live camera shot. you can see the fog now on the satellite image. this is a visible satellite, so it's not infrared measuring temperature. it's actually from the satellite, and it's not like a snapshot picture like you might take with a camera, so it's visible. it's just visible light , and you can see where the fog is. you can see where it is not northstar west side of santa cruz. not too bad in terms of fog, but you can see the fog in along ocean beach in san francisco, you can see the fog pretty much in half moon bay around princeton around moss landing, and then you see that finger of fog. pushing across through the golden gate bridge into the east bay. that's an indication we're going to see more widespread fog again tomorrow. so what's it all mean? spring but it's a classic spring weather pattern with micro climates and playschool coast fifties mild around the base sixties low seventies in inland

governor, doug ducey has not said whether he'll sign that bill. the state lawmakers in arizona today also took action on legislation restricting abortion rights. that's right. the legislature approved a bill that would ban a woman from getting an abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. democrats universally opposed the measure . arizona now joins a growing list of republican led states to pass aggressive anti abortion legislation. governor doug ducey is expected to sign the bill. senate republican leader mitch mcconnell announced that he will vote against confirming judge could tangie brown jackson to the united states supreme court. mcconnell's opposition, not unexpected, and as foxes madeline rivera reports. this comes after four days of historic confirmation hearings in washington, d c. on the last day of judge brown jackson's confirmation hearing, the senate judiciary committee listened to her supporters. reviewers described her integrity as beyond reproach. impeccable and of the highest caliber and

going to need help with understanding where their children sit in schooling and how to help all those different things. nova ukraine, another nonprofit has a refugee task force. they've been working with law firms to arrange pro bono legal services, and they've established a partnership with airbnb to help with temporary housing. however they say most of the people they've helped so far have either overstayed tourist visas or come to the bay area because they have relatives here. these are the people who had travel documents before from before the war and getting travel documents now in europe. the i heard that the sign up in some of the consults of ukraine is for august. san mateo county isn't sure how many total refugees might end up here. but county supervisors passed a resolution this week committing to help those who do they hope to focus on everything from food to mental health services. you have to put your money where your mouth is, and so you have to stand up and you have to say, look, we're going to welcome
